What’s the next step after you come out of Egypt?

Time-sensitive info below!

Did you know there are two biblical new years (and neither one is in January)? I’ll try to bring this up in a podcast episode soon. I think most people know the biblical year isn’t reckoned by the Gregorian calendar, but they may not know when the biblical new years occur or why they matter.

One of them occurs in the fall, during the High Holy Days. It’s a time for taking stock of our thoughts and deeds and getting a fresh start for broken relationships.

The other occurs in the spring, at Passover. It’s when we recalibrate our identity to bring it in line with a covenant way of life. The purpose of the Exodus wasn’t just to bring Israel out of Egypt, but to take them TO Sinai. When they left Egypt, they were a loose group of wandering tribesmen and mixed foreigners. At Sinai, they became a nation.

Whatever your personal Egypt is – whatever “leaven” you’ve been working on detoxing from your life this year – when you come out, it’s time to set your sights on the goal ahead.

Get to Sinai.

Get into covenant.

Then start for the Promised Land.

Even the Promised Land is not the end!

I’ll have more to say about this in the coming weeks. I’ll be introducing you to a tool for spiritual growth that was given to me by one of my seminary professors, Dr. Matt Friedeman. It’s called The Map (created by a man named Stan Key). The Map correlates the stages of our spiritual journey with the steps the Hebrews took out of Egypt.

I’ve gotten so much value from this tool that I built part of my upcoming April 2025 mini course around it. I’ll share more about the mini course soon (you can get it at the 25% off presale price if you enroll by this Friday).

But first, I want to tip you off to a FREE summit for faith-driven moms, coming up next week – April 23-24, with a bonus VIP day on the 25th.

What’s your personal story of coming out of Egypt? If you are a follower of Christ, you have one (even if it’s still being written and feels really messy right now). The world needs your voice, and others can follow your example.

If you’ve ever dreamed of launching a podcast, now is your time. The Create. Bless. Repeat. Summit will give you the tools to do it in a low-tech, low-stress way.

As part of the two-day summit, I’ll be speaking on how learning to dwell in your vocation can help you overcome imposter syndrome.

Grab your FREE two-day pass here.

Happy Passover!
